Community Engagement Council
The Community Engagement Council (CEC) is comprised of Lived Experience Partners (LEP), Policy and Professional Partners (PPP), and individual experience partners (IEP). LEPs are comprised of key stakeholders, individuals who can speak to their lived experience of TBI or caregiving for a loved one with TBI, that represent the end users of each innovation proposed. PPP and IEPs are from influential organizations representing professionals who will engage with I-HEAL products. This includes proper representation from members of key professional groups involved in healthcare policy development for Veterans Administration (PM&R), Department of Defense (Defense Health Agency TBICOE), and providers representing professional organizations (physiatry, social work, psychology, rehabilitation, nursing) involved in care of persons with TBI.
